About the Greenway Campus
Montpelier’s Hilltop Hub
The Greenway Campus sits at the top of the hill in the College Street neighborhood of Montpelier. Here you’ll find a vibrant community. Offering commercial, residential, and event space rentals - we’re situated among a large green space and just minutes away from everything you might need. It is within walking distance of a bustling downtown, two grocery stores, and hiking trails.
HOME TO THE GREENWAY INSTITUTE
Curious about Greenway Institute? This educational nonprofit, housed on the Greenway Campus, is taking a blank slate approach to reimagining higher education, starting with engineering. Greenway is creating a more engaging, more effective, and more affordable education – one that makes sense for tomorrow’s students, and tomorrow’s world.
A LEGACY OF LEARNING SINCE 1834.
The history of the campus’s use as a college dates back to 1834.
Beginning in 2023, Greenway began buying buildings on the historic college campus in preparation for the eventual launch of its own college. Greenway maintains control of College Hall, Schulmaier Hall, Stone Science Hall, Dewey Hall, Glover Hadley Hall, and Noble Hall.

We're so very grateful for Greenway's support with the Vermont Book Awards. The space looked amazing--those grand ceilings and all the charming historic detail--and it was so fun and easy to work with Kristin, and with the facilities team. Just an all-around wonderful experience. I started the Vermont Book Awards at VCFA in 2015, so it was meaningful for me to hold the event in College Hall this year. Thank you! ”
